Corrugated Pipe is a pipe widely used in various fields. Its surface treatment method has an important impact on its performance, durability and adaptability. Proper surface treatment can improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the corrugated pipe, and also improve its appearance and service life.
1. External coating treatment
Painting: External painting of corrugated pipe is a common surface treatment method, usually sprayed or painted with anti-corrosion paint. Painting can effectively prevent the oxidation and corrosion of the surface of the corrugated pipe, especially in the chemical industry, construction and other industries, to prevent the acid, alkali and chemicals in the environment from corroding the pipe.
Advantages: Increase corrosion resistance, improve aesthetics and easy cleaning.
Disadvantages: The coating may peel off due to long-term use and requires regular maintenance and re-painting.
Hot-dip galvanizing: Hot-dip galvanizing is a treatment method in which the corrugated pipe is immersed in molten zinc liquid to form a zinc layer. This layer of zinc not only provides good corrosion resistance, but also improves the impact resistance of the pipe to a certain extent.
Advantages: Strong corrosion resistance, long service life, suitable for outdoor and harsh environments.
Disadvantages: high production cost and relatively heavy weight.
2. Chemical treatment
Chemical plating: Chemical plating is the process of depositing metal or alloy on the surface of the bellows through chemical reaction. Common chemical plating includes nickel plating, silver plating, etc., which can improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the bellows.
Advantages: Uniform plating can provide good protection and is not easy to peel off.
Pickling: Pickling is a process of cleaning oxides and impurities on the surface of the bellows, usually treated with dilute acid. Through pickling, the surface finish of the bellows can be effectively improved, laying the foundation for subsequent coating or plating treatment.
Advantages: Improve surface finish and enhance adhesion of subsequent treatment.
3. Physical treatment
Heat treatment: Heat treatment is usually used for metal bellows. The internal structure of the material is changed through the process of heating and cooling, thereby improving its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. This treatment method can significantly improve the strength and hardness of the pipeline.
Advantages: Improve material properties and increase service life.
Disadvantages: Complex process and high cost.
4. Surface sandblasting
Surface sandblasting is a physical treatment method that removes dirt and oxides on the surface of the bellows by spraying sand particles. Sandblasting can clean the surface of the pipe, increase the surface roughness, and improve the adhesion of the coating or plating.
Advantages: Effectively remove dirt and enhance surface adhesion.
Disadvantages: The risk of damage to the material is relatively high, and the intensity of sandblasting needs to be controlled.
5. Nano coating treatment
Nano coating is an emerging surface treatment technology that significantly improves its corrosion resistance, wear resistance and self-cleaning performance by forming a nano-scale coating on the surface of the bellows. The coating of this technology usually has extremely low surface energy and can effectively prevent dirt from adhering.
Advantages: Provides super strong protection without affecting the flexibility of the pipe.
Disadvantages: High processing cost and high technical requirements.
