Matters needing attention when purchasing PPR water supply pipes

Water pipes are divided into two categories: water supply pipes and drainage pipes. In terms of materials, there are mainly stainless steel pipes, galvanized pipes, copper pipes, PVC pipes, PPR pipes, etc. Among them, PPR pipes are more commonly used and are also cost-effective pipes.
Water supply pipes are generally used for household water intake. At present, the common one on the market is PPR water inlet pipe. This kind of water pipe is environmentally friendly, high temperature resistant, and strong in pressure resistance.
The pressure capacity and environmental protection requirements of the drainage pipe are not very high. There are usually two types, one is PVC pipe and the other is cast iron pipe.
Things to consider when choosing a water supply pipe:
1. Try to choose the same brand of pipe fittings
Generally, when the water pipes are renovated, there are corresponding spare parts in addition to the water pipes. If different brands are used for the materials, it will be very troublesome to match them. So if you can choose, try to choose the same brand.
2. Give priority to good after-sales brands that are close to home
The choice of brand depends more on whether there are many after-sales outlets of the water pipe brand near your home. Brands with more after-sales outlets can provide better after-sales service, such as water pipe acceptance, water road diagram, etc. Compared with after-sales outlets For less brands, it is much better.
3. Choice of PPR tube color
There are a lot of color distinctions (color is mainly a distinguishing function), but there are two mainstream ones, one is white and the other is green.
Green PPR pipe: mainly used as a hot water pipe.
White PPR pipe: mainly used as cold water pipe.
If the water pipes are exposed outside, try to choose green PPR water pipes (white PPR water pipes are more likely to breed bacteria).
It is best to use hot water pipes for hot and cold water pipes, the diameters are the same, but the walls of hot water pipes will be thicker.
4, the choice of PPR pipe level
Single-layer PPR water pipe: it is a single-layer PPR pipe.
Double-layer PPR pipes are much lower in temperature resistance (if the water temperature is higher than 75°C, double-layer PPR pipes cannot be used), so when choosing, they are often selected in the following ways:
Cold water pipe: use double-layer PPR water pipe
Hot water pipe: use single-layer PPR water pipe
5. Selection of PPR pipe diameter
Generally, the current home decoration will choose 6-point pipes (diameter 25mm), and the water intake will be larger. After all, there are many electrical appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers in today's homes, which require a larger amount of water to support them.
